DO WE NEED ART?

I think art is something wonderful and the more we deal with it, surround ourselves with it, the more we immerse ourselves in this world that triggers feelings in us.

I personally think: "YES - we need art" because:

Art makes a home more human and very special.

With a work of art you can literally feel the time, effort & skill that went into its creation.

Recognizing the fingerprints, brushstrokes or marks on the work serve as a reminder of the person behind the work of art - it becomes human.

Art offers you the opportunity to express yourself, because art always tells a story.

If you love a work of art enough to hang it on your wall, then that story speaks volumes about you too.

Art helps us to recognize our emotions.

Art reflects back on us and thus enables us to better understand and process our own reactions, emotions and thoughts.

Art also expands our inner boundaries and helps to think more openly, to challenge ourselves and to see the world from a different perspective.

Art reminds us of what is possible!

It's so refreshing to see someone dedicating their time and creativity to what gives them the most joy in life.

By pursuing this passion and swimming against the general expectations of our society, the artist inspires us to do the same.

Art encourages us to be bold.

Because being an artist is truly not an easy path!

Having a work of art in your home encourages you to take risks and embrace vulnerability, because the result is often something very beautiful.

I, too, keep destroying my works during the painting process in order to then rebuild them and breathe new life into them.

This gives them additional depth and character.

Art breathes life into your home!

Surrounding yourself with art you love will help you enjoy where you spend most of your time.

By choosing to live with art, you are choosing to bring more life into your home.

What do you think? What do you think about that? I am very curious about your opinion!

Feel free to write to me or visit me in my studio. Coffee and tea are always ready!

Yours Andrea
